[ANNI-24] Memories Prompt - That Wonderful Woman

Kai was in her room, staring up at the ceiling with a large fluffy cat upon her chest. She gently placed her hand upon the black cat and began to mess with his fur as she turned her head towards her poster board.

She looked at it with a bit of sadness, she was no longer friends with many of those people, mostly due to moving schoolings and such but it stung. She looked at one particular picture, remembering memories that were not the Mignyan’s own. 

A memory of a day after getting out of the hospital. Her family took her home and she was greeted by many familiar faces at the house. She was overwhelmed again but happy, surrounded by friends but something just didn’t feel the same, she felt empty and wrong. It all felt wrong, she felt sick and decided to go up to her room where she took out the crab that had supported her in the hospital, the very Mignyan who was looking through her memories now.

She started to sob towards the crab who was sitting upon her bed with her cat. She cried about how it all felt so wrong and how she felt awful. She told her how she was feeling so lost and scared for the future because she didn’t want to disappoint anyone. She didn’t want to make people upset like she did before.

The crab comforted her, telling her how it wasn’t her fault that she was struggling and no one would blame her for needing help. She tried convincing the human that things weren’t always going to be bad. 

The human however already had a plan, she suggested a situation, a terrible one. The Mignyan could have her body and she wouldn’t have to panic all the time anymore. They would both get their dreams and they would both technically live, but Kai would just take the backburner. The crab reluctantly agreed to her deal, worried for the human but needing a host.

How she wishes she never did and kept that wonderful woman here. That beautiful, kind woman that she could never fully replicate. That woman who she loved dearly.
