[ANNI-24] MIGNYAN 2024 ANNIVERSARY PROMPT: ONLINE

Piers sighed as he fiddled with the settings on the VPN, looking for the perfect server. He settles on a location in France, yeah, that'll have to work. Not that he has much time to set this up, as Hector is incredibly impatient like always.

"Piers! Is it ready yet? We cannot keep them waiting forever..."

Ah, speaking of that. He flinches slightly as he hears Hector's voice call to him from the next room over.

"Y-yeah, everything should be good to go. We have a stable connection, our location is hidden."

Hector chuckles quietly, he's just finished setting up for the stream. The sound of muffled sobs can be heard from deeper inside the room. Hector positions the camera to face the source of the sound, a young adult woman tied to a chair and gagged.

"Do not cry. So many people are watching to see you today!"

He smiles menacingly, in a way that seems so different than the way he smiles to his audience. He slowly removes the cloth from the girl's mouth, as Piers quietly enters the room.

"Piers, get the stream going. We're ready."

5... 4... 3... 2...

Thousands watch in anticipation, as the counter goes down. Until eventually, the stream overlay displays the word "ONLINE" after it hits 1.

"Hello fellow 'nyans! Welcome to today's stream!~"

Hector's tone and personality takes a complete turn, as he puts on his cutesy, friendly act. He gives an innocent wave to the camera. The girl in the chair appears horrified, she knows nobody could hear her if she were to scream. And she knows what's about to happen, she knows too much. That's... Why she's here. "As you all know, this stream is a very special one! Last stream, we held a raffle to decide who would have the honor of inhabiting this new body! Piers, if you wouldn't mind retrieving our winner?~"

Piers exits out of frame for a moment, before returning with a small crab-like alien. He is sure to hold it gently, as he knows how fragile it is like this.

"Yeah, this poor 'nyan's last body EXPLODED... I'm sure they must be excited to get a new one!~"

The girl in the chair struggles a bit when she sees that small crab.

"Please! You... You don't need to do this! I won't tell anyone... I won't..."

Hector completely ignores this, and gently picks up the crab-like creature with a cheery expression, despite the atmosphere. Piers shifts uncomfortably, approaching the girl and hesitantly holding her mouth open. He tries not to show his guilt. He can't let Hector know how much he hates this. Who knows what he would do, after all...

After a moment and a little speech... Something about the "Mother Crab"... Hector gently lowers the creature towards the girl's face as she struggles and tries to turn away. The stream's watchers observe with great interest, talking amongst themselves in the chat.

Piers frowns as he watches the events that follow. He isn't sure how much longer he can do this. It just isn't worth it.
